He began his career as a Litigation Examiner with GEICO handling No-Fault claims before advancing to Workers’ Compensation.

After his academic study, Melnik interned at a local Law Firm, specializing in Insurance Law. He later transition to the Insurance Industry. Melnik would soon accept a position as Litigation Examiner handling No-fault claims. Melnik later moved away from that role and took on a separate position working in workers compensation.
